Your case will then be assigned to a caseworker in our district office, and you will be contacted if more information is needed. If no further information is needed, the caseworker will send an inquiry on your behalf.  

Lastly, please keep in mind that Federal agencies take time to respond due to the large volume of inquires they receive and the research involved in each individual case.  As a result, the completion of the initial stages of an inquiry can take up to 30-45 days in most cases.  The investigative process can be arduous at times, and we appreciate your patience.
